StudySpark is designed with privacy as the top priority. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. All your study content including text, images, PDFs, audio, video, and voice recordings remain completely local on your device.

We do not collect any usage data, analytics, or device information. There are no user accounts, no data sharing, and no cloud storage of your personal study materials.

How We Use Your Information

Since StudySpark operates entirely on your device with local storage, your study materials are processed locally to generate flashcards using AI technology. Your content never leaves your device except when you explicitly choose to use AI features, which temporarily send content to OpenAI for flashcard generation only.

All your flashcards, study progress, and learning data are stored locally using SwiftData on your device. We do not analyze your learning patterns, track usage, or collect any analytics data.

Data Storage & Security

Your data security is our highest priority. All your flashcards and study data are stored locally on your device using SwiftData, Apple's modern local database framework. No data is stored in the cloud or on external servers.

Voice recordings, audio, video, and images are processed entirely on your device using Apple's native frameworks. When you choose to use AI features, content is sent securely to OpenAI only for flashcard generation and is not stored permanently by third-party providers. We never sell or share your personal study content with third parties under any circumstances.

Voice, Audio, Video & Image Processing

StudySpark prioritizes your privacy by processing all media content entirely on your device. Speech recognition utilizes Apple's on-device Speech framework, while image and video processing leverages Apple's Vision framework to extract text directly on your device. PDF and audio file processing is also performed locally using Apple's native frameworks.

Audio and video recordings are processed locally for text conversion and are only temporarily held in memory during processing. No recordings or media files are stored permanently unless you explicitly save them as part of your study materials, and even then, they remain local on your device.

Your Data Rights

You maintain complete control over your data within StudySpark. You can delete individual flashcards or entire study sets at any time through the app interface. All data associated with deleted study sets is permanently removed from your device's local storage.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full ownership and control. There are no user accounts, cloud storage, or external data collection to manage. Your study materials belong entirely to you and remain on your device.

Third-Party Services

StudySpark uses minimal third-party services to maintain privacy. OpenAI powers our optional AI flashcard generation capabilities, processing your content securely only when you explicitly choose to use AI features, without permanent storage of your data.

The App Store handles all subscription billing and management, ensuring secure payment processing through Apple's established infrastructure. No other third-party services collect or process your personal study data.

Children's Privacy

StudySpark is designed to be safe and appropriate for learners of all ages. Since we do not collect any personal information and all data remains local on the device, there are no privacy concerns regarding children's data.

Parents and guardians have complete control over their child's device and study data. All study materials remain local and private on the device, providing a safe learning environment for students of all ages.
